Several weeks ago, we had the opportunity to do another interview, this time with Paul Ihme, Co-founder at Soteria. We spent time discussing the finer points of their Defense MDR product.
For those of you that may be unfamiliar, a Managed Detection and Response (MDR) offering enables customers of all shapes and sizes to engaged with a dedicated cybersecurity team, all without having to break the bank. It's a quick win that can have massive impacts to bolstering the security of small and medium businesses, especially in the Caribbean.
Defense MDR Overview
This offering from Soteria leverages their team of experts to identify threats within your organization. With dedicated teams that review logs generated from endpoints, EDR tooling, M365 environments (yes, you heard that right), and more, Soteria's expertise really shines when it comes to their custom detection logic. By going beyond the "What happened?" to try and identify the "How?" and "Why?", Defense MDR allows organizations to extract more value out of the products that are currently in use.
The Interview
We asked Paul Ihme about what impacts businesses can expect from Defense MDR, their commitment to staying ahead of the curve, and how it can assist with providing deep technical knowledge without the financial burden of an in-house team.
The part that we love about it?
It's not just telling you they found an issue - they're providing the exact impact, location, risk & recommendation in a simple to understand package.
We're extremely happy with the growth Defense MDR has had and it's capabilities to protect our clients. We've partnered with them to bring it to the Cayman Islands, allowing all businesses the ability to put their data security first, without having to hire a dedicated team to manage the behemoth of logs generated by their security tooling already in place.
